Shrek's Adventure Accessibility

Shrek's Adventure London is committed to providing an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all guests, including those with disabilities or special requirements. Whether you have mobility challenges, sensory sensitivities, or other specific needs, this guide offers essential information to help you plan your visit.

Accessibility for Visitors with Limited Mobility

Shrek’s Adventure London is committed to providing an inclusive and enjoyable experience for all guests, including those with limited mobility. The attraction is wheelchair accessible throughout, with certain considerations to ensure safety and comfort.

Wheelchair Access

To manage capacity and ensure safety, only one wheelchair user is admitted per hour, at each quarter past the hour. It is essential to pre-book a wheelchair time slot in advance.

Wheelchairs must not exceed 27 inches (68.5 cm) in width and should be capable of navigating tight angles and uneven flooring. Please note that unfortunately mobility scooters cannot be accommodated.

Upon arrival, guests using wheelchairs can speak to a team member at the entrance for assistance. The entrance is step-free and on ground level, with lift access available to the first floor.

Please note that wheelchairs are not available for hire at the attraction.

Tour Experience

The majority of the tour features level pathways. However, certain areas, such as the Magic Bus Depot and the Rickety Bridge, have inclines and uneven surfaces.

Each performance area includes clearly marked spaces for wheelchairs, ensuring an uninterrupted view for all guests.

On the Magic Bus ride at Shrek's Adventure London, priority seating is available at the rear of the bus. Wheelchair users can be accommodated in the back left section. Please inform a staff member upon arrival if you require assistance.

Assistance Dogs

Shrek’s Adventure London welcomes assistance dogs. However, due to health and safety regulations, they are not permitted on the 4D Magic Bus experience. A member of your party must remain with the dog at all times during the visit. Please be aware that the attraction features loud noises, mist, lighting effects, and various smells that may be disorienting or stressful for assistance animals.

For the safety and comfort of all guests, assistance dogs must be visible at all times and cannot be carried or concealed in personal belongings such as handbags, backpacks, or coats. This policy ensures the well-being of the animal and the safety of all visitors.

Information for Guests with Hidden Disabilities

The Shrek’s Adventure team is trained to recognize the Hidden Disabilities Sunflower Lanyard. Please speak to a member of the team at any point during your visit if you require assistance. Sunflower lanyards and ear defenders are available upon request.

Guests with Autism and Neurodiverse Conditions

Shrek’s Adventure London includes live actors, voiceovers, and projected images, which may be overwhelming for some individuals. If you or a member of your party requires a break or needs to leave the tour at any point, please inform a staff member.

Guests with Hearing and Visual Impairments

The experience at Shrek’s Adventure London is primarily delivered through live performances, audio, and visual projections. Guests with hearing or visual impairments may find certain aspects of the attraction challenging. We recommend bringing a carer or companion to assist during the visit.

Guests with Medical Conditions

If you have specific medical conditions, such as heart problems, pacemakers, or spine, neck, and back injuries, please inform a member of the Shrek’s Adventure team upon arrival. Certain areas of the tour involve movements or effects that may not be suitable for all guests. The staff will work with you to bypass any sections that may pose a risk or discomfort.

Guests with Photosensitive Epilepsy

Some areas of Shrek’s Adventure London contain strobe lighting and flashing effects, which may affect guests with photosensitive epilepsy. We advise speaking to a team member before beginning your tour so we can inform you about the locations where strobe lighting is used and assist you accordingly.
